Sold Out Plane of Local Leaders Heading to Lexington

The Leadership Visit program will take 70 community members to Lexington, KY October 24-26 via a sold-out charter plane from Columbia Regional Airport to Lexington Bluegrass Airport. The group will begin by hearing from Lexington Mayor Jim Gray and Commerce Lexington President Bob Quick about the community they will be studying for the next three days. Topics of focus this year include local government profile, land use planning and economic development, social equity and thriving together, real estate market, healthcare sector collaboration and impact, and leveraging higher education resources. Additionally, breakout tracks will allow participants to have more personalized conversations on topics such as sports & tourism, entrepreneurism, K-12 education, and a redevelopment corridor. The delegation from Columbia includes a mix of leaders in our business, nonprofit, civic, educational, healthcare, media, and other industry sectors. Watch Chamber social media to follow along with the delegation on Leadership Visit 2018, as well as trip recaps in the newsletter and at the January Quarterly Membership Breakfast.
